Nethris was a partner for the 12th edition of the Dr. Clown’s Foundation Imaginary Ball held at Marché Bonsecours in Montréal, on Thursday, May 2, 2019. This year, the benefit raised a total of $451,465.00.
The Nethris team members who were present at the event enjoyed a delicious meal and a colourful show by comedian and author Martin Petit. Among other things on the evening’s agenda was a performance by QW4RTZ, a Québécois quartet known for their stunning vocal harmonies and a cappella performances that almost make musical instruments useless.
It was a joyful event! Live and silent auctions took place throughout the evening, separated by charming clown antics and a touching testimony from Elisabeth, a young cancer survivor.
The funds raised will allow the foundation to continue its mission: Brighten the day and put a smile on the face of children who are hospitalized or have a learning disability, as well as elderly persons living in a nursing home, with the help of therapeutic clowns.
Last year, approximately 92,500 children and seniors had the chance to attend clowning sessions from their place of study, residence, or healthcare facility. If you would like to support Dr. Clown’s Foundation activities, please visit its website to make a donation or follow its Facebook page.
